José Giménez Cervantes's work spans many administrative and regulatory sectors, with particular emphasis on various sectors such as energy, telecoms, audiovisual and infraestructures.
As a State Attorney (in Spanish, Abogado del Estado) -now on leave-, he held positions in different public bodies, including the 'Ministry of the Presidency' (in Spanish, Ministerio de la Presidencia), 'Employment and Social Security' (in Spanish, Ministerio de Empleo y Seguridad Social) and 'Health, Social Services and Equality' (in Spanish, Ministerio de Sanidad, Servicios Sociales e Igualdad).
Furthermore, he was a member of 'Madrid's High Court' (in Spanish, Tribunal Superior de Justicia de Madrid). From 2000 to 2003 he was the Secretary to the 'Board of the Telecommunications Market Commission' (in Spanish, Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones or CMT).
At the moment, he is a partner at the multinational law firm 'Linklaters LLP'. José Giménez Cervantes has published widely in the areas of telecommunications, renewable energies, public authorities' default payment and tariff deficit, among others.
